A BioRxiv preprint in the BioRxiv COVID-19 collection: a study from the AIM center indicating that azithromycin and ciprofloxacin have effects similar to chloroquine in human respiratory epithelial cells. It’s up to clinicians to consider whether to resort to compassionate use of ciprofloxacin when there is a shortage of hydroxychloroquine or azithromcyn.
