Annual Meeting 2018 Recap
Morning Session
The AIM Center's first annual meeting kicked off yesterday with the morning session starting at 9:00AM. There were many great presentations by AIM Center researchers including
- Michael Mandell Ph.D. on Trim-directed autophagy in hiv restriction and control of inflammation
- Meilian Liu Ph.D. on Regulation of beige fat development by mtorc1 and autophagy
- Xuexian Yang Ph.D. on Unfolded protein response and autophagy in t helper cell effector function
- Mark McCormick Ph.D. on Investigating The Role Of Autophagy And Other Downstream Effectors In Lifespan Extension By The GCN4/ ATF4 Pathway
Afternoon Session
Following the morning sessions, there was a short break where the AIM Center scientists staff, and faculty were able to discuss with one another. After lunch, the afternoon sessions commenced with presentations and discussion from our esteemed guests, Philipp Scherer Ph.D., Vishva Dixit MD, Danielle Sliter Ph.D., Salwa Sebti, Ph.D., and our very own AIM Center Director, Vojo Deretic Ph.D.
The evening was finally capped off by a short closing seminar where the Annual Meeting attendees where able to meet with our guests while enjoying some coffee and snacks!
